Built on our Northgate last, which runs narrow through the waist and clean across the vamp. The upper is full-grain calf from a single Northampton tannery; the sole is 12mm vegetable-tanned leather, channelled and stitched rather than glued. Six eyelets, blind-stitched heel, and a cork-filled waist that takes a memory of the foot over the first fortnight of wear.

Beautiful build; size down a half
Construction is exactly as described and the finishing is even better than the photographs. The last runs a half size long on me — worth noting if you are between sizes.
Two months in; the waist has set perfectly
The first week was stiff — expected with a welted shoe. By week three the cork had taken the shape of my arch and they are now the pair I reach for first. The sole is showing honest wear with no separation at the channel.
